IT security in the server room

IT security in the server room is an absolute must for every company. It ensures that work equipment, IT and IT devices, servers, other hardware and other technology are protected in such a way that the risk of downtime and loss of performance is kept to a minimum.

To achieve this, the server room or data center must be kept as free as possible from dust and construction dust. This is measured in so-called cleanroom classes: they indicate how high or how low the particle density in the room is. There are nine cleanroom classes from ISO 1 to 9, which define the number of particles of a specified size per cubic meter of air. ISO 1 is the cleanest class with the fewest particles, ISO 9 the loosest. A server room or data center must comply with at least cleanroom class 8 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1.
